Sailed out of Barcelona on The Vision recently for a 12 day Med Cruise. This was our first cruise and it was great. The locations were fantastic, but the day trips were expensive and long at times. They have you over a barrel with most of them as there is no other way to reach the tourist locations.
The Vision is 20yrs old and recently refurbished, it had some character to it and gave an art-deco feel. Vision is a small liner in comparison, however had plenty to do and never felt overcrowded despite 2,000 passengers. I have to say all the crew were very polite and friendly including the Captain who got involved with some entertainment.
The down side was it's an American oriented run ship, from the entertainment, the drinks and the food was all American generally, which was a shame as we were sailing Europe and the Med, they did try some European food but it was the American take on it.
Cabin a little dated and not sure it's worth the extra cost for balcony as spent little time there. There was a fridge and it was cleaned and tidied regularly by staff.
