I chose this cruise for my sister and I as she had never cruised the Med. I chose it for the ports and small size of ship. We found the RCCI tours to be very good. The ship was clean, and our cabin (3058) steward was excellent . We found the food to be mediocre - at best - inedible at times. We ate dinner at 8:30 seating in MDR. Our assistant waiter (Sabri Rahim) was wonderful, our head waiter - not so much. Food was often cold by the time we got it - and menu descriptions were not always what we actually received when ordered. Although in the Med, there was no fresh fish/seafood available and the desserts were lackluster and lacked variety. For example, evening ice cream choice in MDR was only Van, Choc & Strawberry. But at lunch in MDR, they had a different ice cream every day - weird! We ate only in MDR, Windjammer & Park Cafe and decided that the quality of the food we found in complimentary dining venues did not make us want to spend the approximately $35 upcharge to dine in specialty restaurants. We also found the shopping to be disappointing on board. We were hoping to find (as on many ships) special deals on cheap fashion watches, logo items, etc. - not on the Vision. Their fashion watch sale include watches from $85 and more - and were offering a 10% discount on the "cheapest watches - the more expensive ones $150 and up were 20-35% off. They did offer the gold by the inch, however. No longer have rugs with day of the week on them in elevator - miss that!

Cabin 6N

2 twin beds - lots of storage space - bring your own shampoo/conditioner, they have dispensers of something(not labeled) in shower and also bar soap - but the shower, though small, did not leak all over bathroom floor! Found the room very pleasant!

Port Reviews

Salerno

Hoped to see Blue Grotto - but not included. Would love to have had adequate time to shop at Cameo Factory - but only gave us 10 minutes - not enough time to make n expensive purchase - Pompeii was great

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Wonderful - loved seeing Vatican Gardens

Venice

Did this tour the day we arrived - loved the gondola ride! Next day we visited St. Mark's square and ate & shopped our way around that area (on our own)

Kotor

Walked around Old City on our own - very pleasant
