This is our 3rd Viking river cruise and it's just as good as the first! This was the Elegant Elbe package and it lived up to Viking standards.

The couple of days are in Berlin then you are bussed to the ship on the Elbe. The Elbe is a natural river with no locks so it's a bit shallow and we did run out of water to sail in by Dresden, just one port shy of our goal. Nonetheless, Viking maintained their high standards and took care of everything.

The Elbe ship is a smaller version of the regular Viking river ship but is every bit as comfortable and luxurious as the bigger ones. The cabins are exactly the same as the bigger river ships, there is just less of them. I believe the capacity is 95 guests.

Cabin Review

French Balcony Stateroom

Cabin C

While the cabins look small at first, they are so well designed that there is plenty of storage and more than enough room for a couple. Since we spent most of our time out of the cabin, it was the perfect size. Wifi is weak on-board but not much they can do about that easily.

The toiletries supplied in the bathroom were very good and the bed is also very comfortable. Soundproofing is pretty good as well.
