Ama Waterways was recommended by a co-worker who had recently traveled with the company for the Christmas Markets trip. I was looking for a small ship with an intimate cruising experience to travel with a lifelong friend to celebrate many years of friendship. We are very active and wanted options that appealed to our desire to ride bikes, walk fast while seeing the sights. My friend is an avid photographer and I love history so time to take pictures and experienced guides were also important.

The team on the AmaSonata met or exceeded every expectation. Every team member, the cruise manager Sonja, hotel manager Cristian and the entire team went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Not to mention they were fun to be around if they were serving beer and pretzels as we crossed into Germany or dancing the night away with the disco music playing.

We met wonderful like minded people who were interesting and easy to converse with at every meal. Read more
