Everything was excellent--food, excursions, hospitality, fellow cruisers, and most of all our cruise director Emilee. This was our first trip to Europe and the Viking cruise was an excellent way to experience the history and the people of central Europe...a great learning and enjoyable vacation. Two great experiences--the ringing of the cathedral bells in Strasbourg on Easter morning and the tour of the battlefields at Colmar where Audie Murphy won his Medal of Honor. The weather at this time of the year started off cold and rainy, but the guides on the excursions made up for it. It cleared up and the last five days were beautiful with warm and sunny days. The entertainment in the evenings ranged from very good local musicians to fun filled activities led by Emilee. Did I mention she was a hoot! One thing we really liked was the ability to sit with many different travelers at mealtimes aboard the ship. We got to know them and even found we had some mutual friends. All in all, this was more than what we thought or imagined this trip was going to be.

Utilitarian, but comfortable. Slept really well.
