We chose this cruise because we wanted to explore parts of Asia. We were pleasantly surprised that the quality of the food had returned to what we had experienced on Oceania cruises years ago. The flow of guests and food in the Grand Dining Room seems to have been helped a lot by having waiters put in orders on an "iPad." There were no long waits for our food. Many evenings the delicious sea bass which is served in Red Ginger on the larger ships (and Sirena) was an entree in the dining room. It was cooked perfectly!

Many of the staff on the cruise seemed especially friendly and content. Some of them would tease us a little bit...Which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We talked to several members of the staff who lived in the countries we were visiting. Oceania tried to accommodate these people's desire to spend a day or two with their families.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View

Cabin C1

The 2 (C1) cabins on the 6th and 7th floor offer about 40 more square feet than similar cabins on the 4th floor. The room's furniture is still arranged close together as if it were a smaller space. So, what you end up with is the extra 4 foot depth at the far end of the cabin by the window. Walking into the cabin it does feel more spacious. Right in front of the window is a wide ledge upon which we put a towel and dried our hand washables. In these forward cabins (like 6004) you definitely feel a lot more motion when seas are rough. So, don't choose one of these cabins if you get seasick easily.
