Alaska is a must see place. Glad I went? Yes. Boarding was ok. You know customs is a pain. Wish they had a water fountain in the holding area. If you cannot take a swing set, get sick in a car or can’t take anything more than a merry-go-round, then do yourself a favor, get stuff prior to the cruise for motion sickness. Our first day was at sea after Vancouver with rain and rough seas. Expect it. The boat will rock. Food was a solid C. I know it’s hard to fix food for over 2,000 people, but I think they need an overhaul of their menus and quality. I had been on Royal Caribbean years ago and I remember it being much better. Italian Night hardly had any Italian food! International Cafe had better sandwiches. It was a chore to find a place to eat at Horizon buffet. Spa staff are nice but pushy. Beds were hard. Rooms are small. Hairdryer took me back in a time warp to the 70’s. If you have long hair, just use the wind to dry it. Probably will get better results. Excursions were great but really expensive. Whale watching is a must. The salmon bake was fantastic. This is why you came all that way. Was expecting better night entertainment. No themed nights. Don’t use the internet or you’ll be sorry! They did have one night about Broadway, which was excellent. Otherwise, seriously lacking. Sabatini’s was the biggest disappointment. Too much food, too long. They even brought my daughter the wrong main dish, but it had been so long since she had ordered, that she just didn’t care anymore. Would I recommend Princess? I would look at others too before I booked. We were promised a free upgrade but didn’t get it. They had arrangements for our children after the cruise to the airport, just not for us parents! Ended up having to get a private charter in Whittier.

Small. Beds were hard. Bathroom leaked because our floor was always wet. I think it needs updating.
