We saw a 2 for 1 deal and decided to try it. Read about Viking and saw many commercials but when I had several people tell me they just returned from a viking river cruise and loved it we were certain it was going to be great.
We loved the small ship and less people onboard for a week of sailing. The Viking cruise line is a well oiled machine that runs like clockwork. We had a fabulous time and if there were any questions they were answered promptly.
The excursions were very good, the food was fabulous, and the boat was very smooth, never felt any movement.
The room was sufficient for our stay. You have about a foot on either side of the bed for walking and the sliding door opens to the outside. We had the door open while in the room and it was so refreshing to hear the water and see the sights. We traveled with another couple and decided if we wanted to sit together at night we would sit on the top deck or the lounge, which worked out very well. Bathrooms are nice, small, but just enough for our stay. The shower water pressure is the BEST. Wow!
You have enough storage for your things and store the suitcases under the bed. I asked for more hangars and got plenty to accommodate our clothes.
Our rooms were cleaned and made up by the time we got back from breakfast and always after our supper. I would choose this type of room again when cruising with Viking.
Can't wait to go to Amsterdam for a week and see all there is to see. . What a neat city! Loved Anne Frank House , buy tickets online 3 months ahead in order to get in. I want to go back few more times to see everything, since it's hard to wrap your head around everything in one visit.
