we crossed on the QM2 a few yrs ago, after doing a transatlantic to Europe on another line.
We did the same thing this year. Think of this ship as merely a way to avoid flying and cheaper than a business class ticket. Our balcony was well liked by us and our steward did a great job. The ship looked fine, public rooms in good shape, etc. it is just that the configuration of the decks are a pain, and the buffet rooms are no better than a diner!
The food in the Britannia was adequate and we had excellent service. Many speakers (I think 5) were onboard and most did a good job. The planetarium shows were great -line up 40 min before tickets are given out. I didn’t attend the entertainment but my husband said they were good.
Was roomy and had adequate storage.
