A Danube River cruise was on our bucket list, Avalon provided the perfect itinerary, and did not disappoint.
Everything went smoothly from start to finish. All staff members were courteous and knowledgeable. Our cruise director Niko was one of the best we have ever had. He thoroughly explained what we could expect each day, patiently answered all questions, and never tried to "sell" an excursion.
Our deluxe cabin on the highest deck was roomy and we particularly enjoyed the window wall with sliding door to watch the beautiful scenery. Our cabin attendant was charming and did a great job keeping us supplied with anything we requested.

Outside Stateroom with French Balcony
Excellent stateroom. The bed faces the window, so there's always a wide view of the passing sights. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering the cruise.

Explored Vienna on our own and attended a wonderful concert at the Homburg Palace that we booked ourselves

Good tour of small area. Walked on our own to see the converging rivers.
Regensburg
Great morning tour of Weltenburg Abbey and Danube Gorge. Enjoyable afternoon tour of Regensburg.
Nuremberg
Took ship's tour of town. Would have liked to see much more.
