Reason we choose Avalon was the size and arrangements of the staterooms. The number of guests allowed for personal attention from the staff. The itinerary looked amazing and was! We could participate as we choose or relax on board. Our cruise director Chistina was eager to assist us with alternative plans for the afternoon such as taking a cab into town and making sure we were knowledgeable in how to make our way back safely. Dining at all meals excellent! Freeform seating at dinner helped us to meet many of the other guests, many were on their second or third Cruise with Avalon. We learned so much from them about cruising, destinations, and their home towns. Will sadly miss so many of the people, but never forget them. Accommodations were very comfortable and the staff was wonderful!!! We will be looking forward to booking our next cruise with Avalon Cruises. We would also recommend a precruise stay at the Radisson Blu, and precruise excursion to Lucerne and Mt. Pilatus.
