We went on this cruise to celebrate our daughter graduating high school! I am actually torn between a 3.5 and a 3.0...but I have to do a 3.0
First, the good parts. It was short. Catalina was amazing. Ensenada was pretty cool too, but we all loved Catalina the best.
What did we do on Catalina? We rented the golf carts for 3 hours. So fun and the best thing to do. After that, we went to town, shopped, and had the BEST LUNCH EVER at the Lobster Trap. Omgosh, it was so good! You just can't go wrong with this place.
This is where we embarked and it was fast and very easy.
We loved Catalina. We rented 2 golf carts and did the scenic route around the town. After that, we walked around the town, did some shopping and had a wonderful lunch at the Lobster Trap. It was probably the best food we had on the entire cruise.
We probably should have done an excursion here. Instead, we went to the "resort" that Carnival was selling as an excursion. We walked a little further and got an uber driver, which only cost $5. Do not use the vans that are waiting for you outside, they wanted $70 for our party of 7. At the "resort" (Hotel Coral), we paid about 1/2 of what they would have charged us through Carnival, however, we didn't get lunch with ours. It really wasn't much of a resort though. No beach, so they have sand brought in. We had fun though, the kids went swimming and we hung out in a cabana (we did not have to pay extra for this).
After that, we went into town and did some shopping. Beware, you will get bombarded by people trying to sell you stuff. We had a great lunch at El Corralito, which was recommended by our Uber driver.
