My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 50th Anniversary by going to Hawaii. I explored my options, and we decided on a cruise. We felt this was the best way to see more islands. I found that Norwegian's Pride of America, was the best option. We also wanted to do a vow re newel on the ship.
WE were leery, though, because of the reviews. Some of the reviews complained about service, food, shows or unfriendliness of the crew. We talked about it, and decided to do it, anyway.
I don't know what ship they were on,but it couldn't have been this one!! I have been on many cruises, but this ship will forever be in our hearts! We opted for the package. Four days in Honolulu, at the Marriott Waikiki, then on the fourth evening we boarded the ship. Included 3 excursions. Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor and third day a ranch and then on to the ship. The Marriott was wonderful. Room was spacious . Had a pretty good ocean view.Lots of gift shops and places to eat. Our tour guide, Leo, was amazing. We covered so many things, with things he added, when we had time. Very knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make us comfortable! We learned so much, about the island and the culture and made many new friends!
Decent size. Could have used more storage, but was able to slip suitcases under bed.
Tendered in. Shops and two small beaches, right near where your dropped off.
Not a bad port. Large beach, within walking . Just a small amount of shops. Have free trollies or vans that will take you. Visit the Marriott . They have beautiful botanical gardens and coi fish pools, free. Can walk or take trolley. Worth seeing.
Also have free vans to take you to k-mart.
For quilters, there is a beautiful quilt store called Quilt Passions.
