Enjoying our balcony!
Overlooking Budapest!

We have always wanted to take a river cruise in Europe and finally decided to go with my brother and his wife. We went in April 2018 and at first we thought the weather might be cold and wet, but it turned out to be warm and mostly dry. Viking is an incredible cruise line and we were treated royally, the facilities, the food and the services were amazing each day. We spent 3 days in Prague, which was totally amazing, prior to our cruise, and then 7 days cruising on the Danube from Passau to Budapest, including stops in Vienna and other cities. We then stayed 3 days in Budapest, also an enchanting city. Best trip ever, we all agreed! The Viking Hermod was a beautiful ship, and our cabin was spacious and comfortable, with a step out balcony. The dining room was large and elegant and we always found seating together and the food was to die for, excellent choices and quality and variety each day. The service in the dining room was very good and all the waiters were helpful and friendly! The ports of call were exceptional and the excursions were wonderful, informative and so entertaining and educational! Each tour guide was a local with wonderful stories to tell and full of insights and reflections!

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

Great cabin with balcony, large comfortable bed and nice bathroom facilities. We loved being able to sit on the balcony and drink coffee in the mornings, watching the river go by, and all of the amazing scenery.
