Cabin: Inside

My fiance and I chose Norwegian because of the convenience of the NYC port. It was his first cruise, my 3rd cruise but 1st with Norwegian. Pretty confident that we have found our sole cruise line! The Gem provided us with the small ship experience but big ship excitement. We had plenty to do each day, whether it was relax at the spa or attend a show.

Recommendations:

- I highly recommend getting a thermal spa pass for the week if you like to have a quiet spot to read a book, relax, and really enjoy a hot tub without kids jumping in and out (we actually didn't spend any time at the pool).

Cabin Review

Inside

We almost sprung for a balcony but really ended up not needing it. Our inside cabin was spacious, PLENTY of storage, large enough bathroom, and a great room steward to top it all off. We didn't spend that much time in the room other than sleeping!

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Great for us as we live in NJ and can take a Lyft or Uber to the port. We are used to NYC (traffic, people, etc), so nothing really to report here. If you're not from the area or haven't experienced NYC otherwise, it can be overwhelming and I highly recommend giving yourself lots of extra time to navigate.
