Viking as a cruise company once again provided a terrific cruise ship and staff. This was our second Viking river cruise and everything about this company and its employees is top shelf. But I didn’t like the itinerary on this cruise as well as our initial cruise, which was southern France. This cruise up the Rhine was just not as interesting and the cities were not as picturesque. You can’t go wrong picking Viking as your river cruise company. But make sure you’ll enjoy the stops on your cruise before you book it. The southern France cruise ended up docked in a new city every morning with easy access right off the boat directly into the new city. The Rhine cruise in contrast often involved cruising during the day and docking in places where a bus trip was necessary to get to the city center. Again the cities visited were just not as interesting and there was too much down time cruising during the day.

Veranda Stateroom

Perfect location in terms of close to the front of the hall and on the same floor as the dining room and getting on and off the ship. I would pick this exact same room for future cruises.
