We chose this because of the departure point of Dundee and the itinerary. Embarkation from Dundee was seamless. Cabin 5138 comfortable fairly roomy with plenty of storage space. Bathroom adequate did not like the generic shampoo/body wash in dispensers (bring your own if you can). Mary kept room spotless and always acknowledge us. Cabin very noisy.

We ate early sitting in Waldorf service exceptional. Many people tried to alter from late sitting there were many empty seats but people were told they could not change . Tip ask again after a couple of days. We ended up eating all our meals in Waldorf due to the terrible scrum in Raffles Bistro. Selfish fellow passengers sat there on sea days not moving from one meal to the next. Food was adequate some meat was tough, puddings used fake cream no steaks or lobster but pasta fish and veggie option always available and beautifully presented. Midnight buffet was spectacular but people behaved appallingly pushing and grabbing. Many of them had finished eating at ten o clock!

Due to bad weather we had 5 sea days and this put a strain on the facilities. It was difficult to get anywhere to sit to read or simply chat. Talks were well attended. Excursion team explained excursions but were not pushy. Non English speakers. made it difficult to understand them. Show lounge very busy with people keeping seats and waiting from the end of the first performance until the second. Some restricted views because of pillars. Entertainment was mixed dancers and orchestra good solo violinist superb singers dreadful and host irritating.

We went of afternoon bus tour. Stopped at Scalloway where there is a tiny museum dedicated to the Shetland bus. Did not appreciate shopping opportunity at jewellery store.
