We're experienced cruisers that chose this cruise for the ports and the ship. The ports and excursions were excellent and the ship did not disappoint. We were travelling with two other couples (siblings and spouses) and spent all of our dinners and most of our excursions together. The main thing to consider with the Mediterranean cruises is that they are not "relaxing" like a Caribbean cruise might be. The two at-sea days were welcomed and needed. .

Embarkation was easy and quick, even though our late flight caused us to miss our tour of Rome. .RC reimbursed us for missing this excursion. We used a RC-excursion at each port and we thoroughly enjoyed each one, even though there was quite a bit of walking (3-5 miles). Windjammer for breakfast was good with made-to-order omelets. Dinner was spent at the MDR which had good selections (mostly) and great service. We used the MyTime Dining and made reservations for each night prior to embarkation. Our service was so good the first night, we asked for & received the same table each night. Servers were Ravindra & Vedran. We did try specialty restaurants for two nights - one at Chops, which was excellent and one at Giovanni's, which was a real disappointment based on other RC ship's experience.

Our room was was a Spacious Balcony (9054), and everything was nice and clean. Our cabin steward was great, as has always been our experience. The room, itself, was nothing special but in a convenient (central) location on the ship.
