We chose this cruise because of timing, destination and the ship. Other Princess ships we have sailed on include Royal, Regal and Island. We stayed at the Embassy Suites the night prior to departure and it was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants and last minute shopping, quick and easy Uber ride to port. We departed from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, day at sea, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Honduras, Belize City, Belize, Cozumel Mexico, day at sea then back to Ft. Lauderdale. This was a great itinerary for us stopping at two new ports and we definitely maximized the opportunities. We arrived at the port around 10:30 and were on the ship by 11:15. As Platinum level we are able to take advantage of the port lounge and priority embarkation-very nice!! This is our first time on the Caribbean Princess so after stopping at the spa to sign up for the Thermal Suite week long pass(they only offer 40) it was off to get lunch and explore. Cabins are ready at 1:00 pm and they start delivering luggage as soon as possible. With that said, we always bring our basic toiletries, one change of clothes and a swimsuit just in case our luggage is delayed. We have never had any issues or problems but we like to be ready for anything!

Caribbean Princess is a great ship with lots of areas for retreat and quiet inside and out! Outside the way the four pools are separated gives the feeling of being less crowded on the deck. The pool (not sure why they call it a Lap Pool) by the spa and Sanctuary is adults only-very quiet and secluded with teak lounge chairs and comfy cushions. Inside, many of the corridors on the 5th, 6th and 7th floors have great little seating areas and quiet nooks. With all the standard bars, buffets and restaurants there is always plenty to eat and drink. Whether you are lounging poolside or watching entertainers in the Piazza there is always someone to get you a drink and ensure you have everything you want. We did traditional dining and thoroughly enjoyed the dining room-menu had good variety, food was good, service was great. We ate at the Crown Grill one night-excellent steak dinner from start to finish!! Definitely a favorite!

We aren't art people so we skipped all of the auctions.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BC

Our balcony cabin was great for the two of us. We were on Riviera deck forward-it was the perfect location! Easy access to buffets, pools, coffee, gym, spa! We loved it!! Yes the bathroom is small but it's a cruise ship-space is limited. The bed is very comfortable!!

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Easy in and out of port. Not far from airport.

Belize City

If I ever go back I will book an excursion. Port area is very small, tender ride is at least 20 minutes each way.
