We had heard so many wonderful things about Viking cruises - the ships, the tours, the food. It was all true; we had a fabulous trip. We took excursions to Basel and Amsterdam, which were both terrific cities. We also traveled by train to Lucerne while in Basel, and had a delightful lunch by the water there. Our cabin was beautiful and comfortable, the service for the room and dining was exceptional. All of the tours were well done and interesting, and we enjoyed exploring on our own as well. There was plenty of time for this, which we appreciated. The entertainment on board was lots of fun, and our activities director and all the staff were friendly and fun. We traveled with two other couples and had a fantastic vacation together. We are going on another Viking cruise in July 2018, and hope to take more in the future.
