This was my second cruise and have already booked a trip again on Royal Caribbean for next year through the Panama Canal. Felt really relaxed after each of two different types of massages during the 10-day cruise. There were so many activities onboard that we never got a chance to play miniature golf, swim, or go into the hot tub like we had on my first cruise. One singular entertainment drawback was insufficient variety of movies to consider; they could have introduced more during the slotted show times. Despite gale warnings, captain piloted ship so deftly that our wine hardly swayed in the glass after we left Tallinn (note: learned in Stockholm from Norwegian Cruise passenger who left Saint Petersburg on same day, they had to skip port call in Helsinki during same storm). Our table service and the food in Reflections was so outstanding, we really looked forward to each evening meal.
Going from Copenhagen to Stockholm, was glad we were on the port side for better views!
Bought both the Copenhagen card to cover admissions (and our train ride to/fro hotel not located in center city) and Hop On/Off bus/boat ticket. Seeing the city from both the bus and boat offered a better perspectives of the beautiful city.
This port city was nice to visit for three hours, but knew we had so much more to see and needed to save our energies for another day.
One bonus for us was walking down to the Old Hall Market and sampling so many different foods!
Pre-purchased 48-hour Stockholm card and what a bargain! It combined admissions with the Hop On/Off bus/boat ticket. On day 1, we made reservations to take the shorter 50-minute boat ride at the end of the day. On day 2, we took the longer 135-minute boat ride to the lake and back through the locks, where it was amazing to see folks on the small boats holding onto ropes as the water rose/fell. Enjoyed the Vasa Museum 15-minute film with English subtitles so we didn't have to wait until next showing.
Probably one of my favorite stops for an authentic look into old Europe.
