This was a bucket list cruise for us, with St. Petersburg as our main destination. We had not used HAL before, so all we had to go on were comments on CC and other places Overall, it exceeded our expectations in most areas.

Embarkation - We left from Rotterdam; getting on was smooth and well organized. We got to the port around 10:30; by 11:30 we were boarding and our cabin was ready. We had lunch in the MDR, a nice touch since I really don't like buffets and prefer a sit-down meal.

Cabin - We had an aft Vista Suite. It was roomy enough, had a nice over-sized balcony and a bathroom you could turn around in without hitting all four walls!

Vista Suite

Cabin B

This is an aft cabin, so walking to any place is part of the deal! It had an oversized balcony with two lounge chairs and room for more! The cabin itself is a decent size for a two week cruise; the tub is small, but just the inclusion of a tub increases the size of the bathroom.
