Our daughter just graduated HS and for her graduation and prior to College we decided to take a family (plus 1 - one of her best friends) on a 7 night cruise. After some research we booked a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise departing from Port Canaveral on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas leaving June 24.

We booked by talking w/ RC directly and we decided since we haven't vacationed much and this was a special event to book a suite. We originally planned to go a different date on the Western Caribbean cruise with an Aqua Suite but had to change to Eastern and booked an Owners Suite midship on deck 14. Boy did we get lucky on this one. Not a lot of choices when we booked but this suite and location was perfect. On the port side (best views when docking), close to the Coastal Kitchen and Suite Lounge, close to the Windjammer buffet, close to the elevators etc. We didn't know about all the perks for suite guests until a few days prior to leaving when we got an email from the concierge's who are assigned to the suite guests. That explained a lot about what huge benefits suite guests have.. Was it worth the extra $$ for this.. for us, definitely! Now there is no way we can cruise again and not have a suite. You are spoiled with the perks. Oh did I mention free (w/suite) wifi.. that was nice! Dont know if I would have paid for it otherwise.

Embark-Disembark: Special lines and areas for suite guests - sweet! On early and off w/o any hassle!

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin OS

The cabin was great.. plenty of room for 4. The girls slept on a pull-out couch while Mom and I had the bedroom. The bed, pillows were great.. I cant believe how well I slept esp since we are used to a sleep number bed. Plenty of storage in the room, great balcony (huge). Plenty of bathroom space;

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Port experience was great.. we used Park Port Canaveral. Very easy access and travel back-forth from the ship.

Just went shopping..
