Traveled with children

I have always wanted to cruise to Alaska but wanted to wait until my kids would be old enough to appreciate/enjoy the scenery and excursions.

We decided to book our cruise for June 2018 to celebrate my 40th birthday and our oldest daughter's high school graduation. (Our younger kids would be 6 and 7.) We researched cruise options and chose the Norwegian Bliss because the ship was going to be BRAND new and the price was very fair for a family of 5.

A few of our favorite things:

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Oceanview with Large Picture Window

Cabin OB

This is a cabin for 5 and we liked the location because it was close to the Splash Academy, right by a stairwell and close to debarkation doors at ports of call. The 5th floor is very far from the buffet and Observation Lounges on floors 15 and 16; too far to take the stairs and elevators did not always come easily. We were, however, only a couple flights of stairs to the atrium, restaurants and shops.

The room is quite tight for 5 people. (Thankfully our children are still small people.) Thankfully, there is ample storage in the room.

Port Reviews

Seattle

We toured Seattle on our own and thought it was a vert cool city.
