We decided to go on this cruise because family members chose it to clebrate the 90th birthday of our aunt. I don't think I would have chosen such a large ship (6000 passengers) though there was plenty to do.The shows were very good, especially Mama Mia which was as good as any Broadway production. I am 67 yrs old and though I love kids, my idea of a vacation is not being around alot of kids, especially in the pool area. The pools were very small to accomodate that many people. I would have preferred a nice pool for adults only. If you are traveling with young children this may be the cruise for you. Also, I don't like loud music in the pool area but I guess that is what you get on a Caribbean cruise. I had read reviews before the cruise that the food was not good but we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and selection, especially in the dining room for dinner. I did like the options of the Park Cafe for lunch. In spite of the ship being very large, the process of getting on & off the ship was smooth. All in all we had a nice trip. The time in San Juan P.R. was too brief. We had to board the ship at 1:30 pm. Really, it was a half day and we would have liked to spend more time exploring Old San Juan. Lastly, I had a GREAT massage in the spa but I did not appreciate the 5 minutes after my massage trying to be sold products.
small cabin difficult to move around with couple and 1 adult child. Bathroom sink was very small. Every time I washed my face I hit my head on the glass shelf above the sink. I vowed I would only cruise if I had a suite.
