We chose this cruise because of the Cuba portion of the trip. However, the entire staff of the ship surprised us with their great service. Our stateroom attendant was efficient and friendly. Our wait staff in the Starlight dining room was superb and the menu choices were delicious. The Windjammer buffet was convenient for breakfast but we ate lunch and dinner in the main dining room. The guest services and activities staff was full of enthusiasm and always helpful. We enjoyed the karaoke, trivia, bingo, comedy and singing/dancing performances. Even the live sports in the Schooner bar were entertaining. Embarkation was easy and lines were manageable. Disembarking in Key West was a long line for self-tours because there is a shuttle that must take you off the Navy Port where it docks. I would recommend booking a tour through Royal Caribbean because there lines were much shorter. We booked a tour through RC for our Cuba portion and the wait was still about 45 minutes but was well organized. The 4-hour Easy Panoramic Tour was interesting and historic but there was no where to buy food, so come prepared with bottled water and snacks. Our cabin was a good size and although the rooms could use a decor update from the 90's, it was clean and well-maintained. This ship is good for adults and teens but does not have as many activities for small children as a young family might need. We also recommend the Backstage All Access Tour. It was really cool to see the galley, lower decks, the bridge, and be able to hear directly from the supervisors of each section of the ship.
Definitely nice to have the cabin with a little extra room. Worth the upgrade!
Great service at Parkway Parking. Small, convenient port with easy check-in.
