We had never been on a cruise and were not interested in a crowded cruise ship and thousands of people. The Longship was wonderful. We got to know almost everyone and all the crew during the 2 weeks. There was never a time when we felt crowded or unable to have our privacy. The open dinner seating allowed us to get to know many people and also have repeated dinners with favorites among the guests. The food was plentiful and consistently good. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The tours were interesting and allowed us access to areas and sites that we otherwise would have missed but our favorite times were just wandering the towns and cities and getting to interact with the locals and discover hidden treasures. Our room was a pleasant and comfortable place to rest and recharge but we seldom spent much time in it as there were just too many things to see and do. The travel transfers before and after the cruise were flawless.
