Loved Basel and our extra time there and in Amsterdam! Loved seeing the sights along the river.Enjoyed the museums and tours. The tours were great and we enjoyed meeting people on the cruise. There is plenty of time to relax, read, and enjoy the lounge. The service was excellent and staff was friendly. All meals were delicious and there were plenty of choices to accommodate all diets and allergies. The ratio of staff to passengers is amazing and all staff seemed to enjoy the chance to make our trip a special one. The "extra" tours were worth the money. Would recommend that people wear sturdy and comfortable shoes for walking on the cobblestones!

Don't underestimate the toll on your feet! It was lots warmer than we thought when packing so think "layers" when you pack! This was our second river cruise with Viking and we will go again! Maybe France next time!
