Sail Date: Jun 2018
Cabin: Concierge Level Veranda Stateroom

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and our previous experiences on the Regatta. The three star rating is an average between excellent food and dining experience, poor stateroom accommodations and very poor service with luggage delivery upon embarkation.

One of our suitcases was not delivered because the room tag had fallen off. When we inquired about it we got excuses and downright lies, but no apology. It was a challenge to get staff to bring out undelivered luggage so that we could identify ours and get unpacked prior to sailing.

The destination staff were not well informed about the shore excursions and provided poor advice for our excursion in Juneau. In general, we think we could have done better arranging our own excursions.

Cabin Review

Concierge Level Veranda Stateroom

Problems with the cabin include:

• a malfunctioning thermostat kept the cabin too cold during the day and too warm for comfortable sleep at night.

• Poor air quality because of odors that came in through the air vent: tobacco smoke during evening hours and volatile cleaning products in the morning.

• Limited use of the veranda because of tobacco smoke that presumably came from the smoking section on the pool deck.

• Bad attitude of the steward.

• Lack of comfortable seating, except for deck chairs.
