Symphony of the Seas is an absolutely incredible ship! We were lucky to get it in the Mediterranean during the six months it is sailing there before it moves to the Caribbean! Overall, the cruise was enjoyable and so much fun for everyone! We were a group of ten people of three generations and none of us ran out of things to do, places to see, or food to eat! After reading mixed reviews, I was skeptical about the dining onboard but was pleasantly surprised as all the food was delicious! The service in all of the restaurants and in the main dining room especially was fast and all of the staff onboard was super nice and helpful. In addition to the main dining room there are several restaurants like Sorrentos Pizza and windjammer that are also included in the dining package. The ship was never to crowded, even though there were a lot of people on board. The only issue we encountered was a long wait for the elevators sometimes. Our stateroom was on the eleventh deck and we often chose to take the stairs to the fifteenth deck (where the activities and pools are located) because of the wait for the elevators. The flow rider, ultimate abyss, and zip line lines were always relatively short and all three were very fun!! The shows were incredible, we saw HIRO, Flight, Hairspray, 1977, and iSkate 2.0, all of which we loved, especially iSkate and HIRO. The shore excursions we chose were excellent and getting on and off the boat was easy. Embarkation and disembarkation were both super fast and easy, but that may be because we got on and off in Rome and the main port of embarkation is Barcelona. Our stateroom was clean and a pretty good size. We had a two person king room with a balcony overlooking the boardwalk and loved it!

All in all, our first cruise was amazing and I would highly recommend symphony to anyone, especially families! there is something for everyone, both during the day and at night!

Cabin Review

Boardwalk View Balcony

Cabin 2I

The cabin was clean and relatively big for a cruise ship. The bathroom was quite small, but that was expected, and the balcony offered more space. There was a nice mirror and vanity as well as plenty of space for clothes in the closets and dresser.
