This was my second cruise with AmaWaterways. I had such an amazing experience the first time, that the bar was set pretty high for this one. It did not disappoint in the least. The ship is beautiful. The food and service are top notch. On this cruise, there was a wellness instructor, Andre. He was warm, knowledgeable, and lots of fun. I didn't choose this trip because of the wellness activities, and really, didn't see myself participating in them. I jumped right in, however, and regardless of one's fitness level, he made sure everyone got what they needed. I had never been to a Zumba class before, and loved it!

On any cruise, I think it's the passengers (and the crew) that can make or break a trip. We met such fun and interesting people and laughed nonstop with them for 11 days.

The lounge is a fun and lively place to hang out in the evening. The entertainer on this trip was not my favorite; he lacked personality (could have just been shy), but he did try to play what we wanted to hear. Eleven straight nights of YMCA doesn't quite cut it, however. The entertainers that came on board, however, were very good.

Cabin Review

Stateroom with French balcony

Cabin C

Lovely room with a comfortable queen size bed. Loved having the French balcony to enjoy the view and fresh air. Shower is not huge but for my size, I had no problem in it. There is wifi access as well as an apple computer/tv monitor. First run movies and decent music are also available on the television. I was never in my cabin long enough to watch a movie all the way through.

Port Reviews

Strasbourg

Did this one on our own with other folks we met, and had a lovely lunch off the square by the Cathedral. Absolutely beautiful town.

Trier

Enjoyed our day, but the place where we docked was odd; it is a steel recycling plant.

Cochem

The castle was very interesting and a cute medieval town.
