This was a last-minute decision to cruise on a 3-night quick trip to Nassau, Great Stirrup Cay, and then back to Orlando. The Aft balcony pictures were misleading on the website, as we were in room 0066, and I would definitely get a regular side balcony instead next time instead of paying the extra for the same size balcony although aft...our room was on deck 10, so we were also right under the outdoor feeding deck on 11--the loud dragging of chairs and people feeding seagulls caused noise and poop to be on our small balcony. I'd say our aft balcony was only about 5.5 feet long and about 6 feet wide--although the corner aft balconies are very spacious.
The food was similar to average dorm food, except for the omelette station in the Garden cafe in the morning, which was better than usual. They serve crepes at one station in the Garden cafe during certain hours, and they have a sandwich station on the other side of the ship during daytime hours only--other than that, I was very disappointed in the food.
The fine dining wasn't much better than the garden cafe, except it pretended to be--it all tasted like average college dorm food. Also, the NCL web page advertised a "Gelato stand" and there was NO SUCH thing on this ship. There were only two ice cream places on the ship: one was the outdoor aft balcony on deck 11 (the burger joint) that served soft-serve ice milk, and the other was in the Garden cafe, in which you had to wait in line and get a small scoop of about five choices of flavors, and it was NOT Gelato nor even Frozen custard--it was sub-standard slimy low-cost ice cream. Yes it was slimy.
Tiny 3-person room with a tiny balcony and only two regular deck chairs--I was expecting a larger balcony with chaise lounges. The guy who kept our room stocked did a great job cleaning and keeping clean towels for us.
