We boarded the Regal in Warnemunde (a beautiful seaside town in Northern Germany) and embarked on an amazing cruise of the Baltics. We truly enjoyed every port which included Tallinn -- old town is very unique and well "preserved"; St. Petersburg - which has so much to see and do in two days that you really need the time; Helsinki - a very interesting jewel of the Baltics; Stockholm - beautiful city where you can really enjoy the Vasa Museum as well as the "old town"; Oslo - located in one of the most beautiful places in the world - cruising in along the coast line is in itself a real treat; and Copenhagen - cosmopolitan, but with a Scandinavian feel. The Regal is well appointed and the entertainment was top notch. The shows in the theatre were excellent and the entertainment in the piazza in the evenings was lots of fun. (We tend to be observers, but if you enjoy dancing -- you would have really had a great time.) We enjoyed the sit down restaurants (including the specialty) for dinners mainly, and the international cafe or Horizon court for breakfasts. We did enjoy the enrichment lectures about Russia -- very informative. I find that the information available on your room TV really does prepare you for the next port if you are unable to attend in person. Really enjoyed the cruise directors suggestions. Our room was a deluxe balcony which was perfect for our needs. We have stayed in suites, and regular balcony rooms and the deluxe afforded just that little bit of extra space which is great for reading or just relaxing. Service was outstanding -- everywhere on the ship. No complaints. We did do our own shore excursions for the most part so I cannot comment on those. Overall, a great cruise on a beautiful ship.
