It did not disappoint. Robert Zieminski, the Cruise Director is a calm, humorous, knowledgeable, professional with extensive experience in the region. A great example of first rate service is Florin, our waiter/adviser/friend. He not only humorously catered to our every need, but also offered advice on local foods, customs, and activities. Dining was a wonderful experience. Chef prepared meals and specialties even at breakfast! The food was first class, wines from the region offered previews of shore days in the Wachau valley. We were delighted with every meal.

Avalon made even the unexpected seem routine... 3 days before disembarking, a barge grounded up-river. We had to stop at Vilshofen. While there, Avalon provided coach travel to our planned destinations with seamless service.
