We selected this ship due to the itinerary and previous good customer ssrvice with Royal Caribbean. We travelled as a family, two adults and two children. We were aware the ship was twenty years old and had low expectations. Embarkation was quick and efficient. We were sitting on the ship at 11.30am on arrival day.Overall the ship is dated and activities were somewhat repetitive. On sea days there was a good atmosphere around the pool with lots to do. However on other days the ship was somewhat boring , with only two movies shown throughout the twelve days. The food was good in the Windjammer but certain dishes were dried out and tasteless. Food was superior in the dining room where we availed of MyTime Dining. Both lunch and dinner were beautifully presented and of exceptional quality. We had a refreshment package and availed of tea, coffee , juices and mocktails which our children enjoyed.

The ports of call were stunning, especially Venice and Kotor. We did not book Royal Caribbean excursions due to the excessive cost but arranged our own tours independently. We had no choice but to book the Royal Caribbean airport transfer due to a taxi strike in Barcelona. This was efficient but costly (140 dollars ). A taxi from the ship to the airport costs 39 euros, but we had no choice.

In conclusion a fantastic holiday due to excellent food and service. However if travelling with children a larger and more exciting ship would have further enhanced our experience. I would definitely travel with Royal Caribbean again.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4V

The cabin was clean but needs refreshed and updated. The bathroom is clean and func tonal. The beds were extremely uncomfortable compared to other Royal Caribbean ships. Perhaps due to location of the cabib it was very noisy when the ship was docking, but overall the cabin was average.
