I had friends going on this cruise so my husband and I joined them, and it was fun sharing the experience with them. The location (Alaska) was wonderful and the base price was relatively inexpensive. However, every thing on the ship was an up-sell. There was constant pressure to buy this, upgrade that, shop here, purchase that. It was really irritating.

We paid for "unlimited live-streaming internet" but it often didn't work, especially the live-streaming part. Having paid a lot for the live-streaming internet, we were pretty upset about this and got little to no sympathy from the internet support staff.

The World Cup was going on, the biggest event in soccer in the world every 4 years and we were unhappy to discover that the ship wouldn't be showing it, either on one of the tv stations or on a screen. Staff gave us various excuses, mostly saying it was a "corporate decision". Imagine how upset we were when another Norwegian ship pulled up next to us, showing one of the games on a huge screen on their deck! We felt that we had been lied to.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

We really liked our cabin. The extra space was just enough to make it comfortable and allow one person to sleep while another was up. The balcony was really great to have, especially in a place as scenic as Alaska.
