After travelling last year on our very first cruise with the Gem, we appeared to have been bitten by the cruise "bug" and booked another trip for what turned out to be Spring Break/Easter. We seemed to have overlooked the "holidays" when booking dates so had to endure a trip plagued by kids running all around mostly unattended. Never Again!! The Cruise in of itself was wonderful, the food, the destination ports, staff, shows...all pretty good. We opted for similar quarters like our first cruise which was MidShip on 10th deck with Balcony. Great cabin, spacious, lots of drawers/closet space. We enjoyed some amazing shows that included a comedian, magician, and a broadway star. All pretty terrific. We opted for some specialty dining restaurants and were not disappointed. The Moderno Churrascaria is a must try!!! All the restaurants be it specialty or complimentary offered delicious and well prepared meals. An extra treat was being remembered from our last trip by some of the staff. Overall a good trip but it could have been better with better behaved kids. We thought it was just our opinion but numerous other guests had the same complaint because it became a nuisance with the running down halls and changing room service signs.
