The itinerary, dates and length of cruise was the reason we chose Silversea. We also wanted a higher end cruise line, which we understood that Silversea was.

The embarkation and disembarkation was the smoothest I've ever experienced. It was well organized, had little/no queues, and plenty of staff to assist.

The ship and cabins, in general, are a bit tired and dated and in much need of a refresh. The cruise was also more formal, particularly as it relates to the dress code, than I would have preferred. No shorts after 6PM and jackets required every evening was too stuffy, especially when you are supposed to be on vacation and relaxing. Read more
