Sail Date: Jun 2018

We had not been in Western Germany, we’d had no time for a vacation during the previous year, and so when Viking offered a half-price sale, we chose this cruise as a quick getaway. Viking has things nailed: we received our paperwork a month before we sailed, someone was waiting for us and shuttled us to our ship. We boarded a bit later due to a flight delay, but an excellent dinner and beautiful cabin was waiting for us.

Our room was outstanding. Well layed out and nicely furnished. The steward assigned to our room was amazing - if we asked, it was there. The ship itself was beautiful. The entryway and main staircase were gorgeous. Little nooks were placed in inviting areas for everyone to relax.

The dining? Excellent. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and service was impeccable. Our servers - Gilbert, Rein, and Chris - did a great job! They remembered our names within a day, made wonderful recommendations, and kept our wine flowing (which were wonderful local wines!).
