Cabin 5122. We had a great time in Alaska. Might try a different ship next time.

We chose the Carnival Legend because we cruise with the Carnival lime the most. It allowed us to stay within our budget while also selecting the extended balcony. We stayed in room 5122. The room itself was okay. We had the queen bed and a couch, which turned into a bed for our 6 year old son. I liked that it was near Camp Ocean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. It came with a hair dryer which is great. Only had shampoo and body wash I. The bathroom so make sure to bring your own products! What I didn’t like about our room is that it was right above the theater so we heard and felt the music well into the night. The base must have been right below our room because it made our room vibrate. The performers prectice during the day and then two performances at night. It really effected our experience.

The food in the dining room was so disappointing. We’ve gone on a lot of cruises and I feel that the food quality on the Carnival keeps getting worse and worse. I got sick off the dinner on the third night so we stopped going all together. My son’s hot dog came that night too and was grey. The salad bar was good, so was the pizza place. The best food options were Guy’s burgers, the blue Iguana and then we paid for sushi onboard once.

A of the Ports were fun. We did the train ride in Skagway. If I could go back, I would have chosen a different excursion. It was okay, but not what I expected. Our best excursion was through Gold Rush Dog Tours where we learned all about dog sledding (mushing), were taken for a short ride and then got to pet the puppies! Also, while in juneau we ate at Tracy’s King Crab and it was really good. While in kerchikan, we visited the Christmas store and they have a lot of cute things. We even saw the Time Bandit arrive into port. All of the people we met in Alaska were so friendly. It was beautiful.

See detailed review above. Overall the room itself was good. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. It’s right near Camp Ocean which was convenient. The negative was that it is located right above the performance theater and whenever the performers practiced and the performed the two shows, our room vibrated from the base of the music. It was loud too and hard to go to fall asleep when they were performing their late-night show.
