The staff of the MS Nordnorge really made the difference from literally the moment we embarked; from the reception team to housekeeping, from the captain to the maintenance crew - all amazingly friendly, helpful, polite, even funny - do I need go on?
The stunning beauty of the dramatic Norwegian landscapes and fjords is absolutely breathtaking (especially Trollfjord), and the expedition itinerary is extremely informative and interesting. We didn't make many of the excursions, but those we did take were well organised, informative and fun. The Midnight Concert in a beautiful church is a tremendously moving experience.
Onboard entertainment is fairly minimal, but well organised and very much fun to take part in. For us this is perfect, but we neither need nor want 24/7 nannying by entertainment staff.
Cabin Review
Although restricted view (which made the cabin exceptional value for money) the cabin (including en-suite) was fabulous. Fairly spacious (for a ship), immaculately maintained and very comfortable indeed.
