I'm genuinely not a person who complains about anything. I'm such a simple person to please, and pretty laid back. With that said, this ship needs some major updating. Yes, there's a musky smell as soon as you enter the ship. You become desensitized to it during your stay on the ship, but it's noticeable each time you return from your port stops. In the main dining room, some lights (grapes) are broken, and they need to be replaced. I'm soooooo not a prude or someone who gets easily offended, however, the half naked "angels" in the dining room or in various places on the ship made my children feel very uncomfortable. They are way more conservative than I am (I'm not), apparently, and they said they hated seeing them while they were eating but couldn't look away; they're 6 and 7 years old. Personally, I didn't care about that. Additionally, I'm confused to the whole ship name of "Miracle". It's called Miracle yet the theme within the ship is very Halloween or dark. From a marketing standpoint, I would rename the ship to Halloween, or something to do with those characters. Throughout the ship you have pictures or areas named after The Phantom, Mad Hatter, Frankenstein, and so on. How does that have anything to do with Miracles? If they ever update the ship, they should stick with the Halloween theme, update accordingly, and rename the ship to appeal to a niche because 'Miracle' makes no sense. Also, add a costume theme party because that's always super fun. Before guests board the ship, remind them to bring a costume! This ship has a great port itinerary, so it's a shame that it's not as great as it could be. It has some great potential if Carnival chooses to update it. They also have a lot of room on the Sun deck to make it more fun for family activities. Painting that awfully colored green slide would certainly be a start. Camp Ocean was great! Our kids wanted to go there every single day, even after a long day at the ports. They're obviously doing something really fun in there, and staffed with great counselors. We appreciated the cameras located inside Camp Ocean too. The entire staff onboard Miracle were spectacular, and so very hardworking. They worked tirelessly, so please tip. We prepaid gratuities, and still tipped in addition to prepaying. I made it a routine to look at their tags and their countries of origin, and ask them about it. They were always pleasant to speak to, and answer any questions. The cabins were fine, and nice to come back to after a long day. Great beds, and they put me to sleep instantly. Our balcony was spacious, and our cabin was good enough; no complaints about our room. Loved the Western Caribbean port stops, and we plan to choose a ship with the same exact ports because we loved them. Although, we won't be returning to the Miracle unless it get's updated. Rating this ship as a 3* is being generous, if I'm being honest. Dear Carnival: update Miracle because it has great marketing potential. You're Welcome.
