The pros- Royal App- do your registration via the app, so easy and it got us priority boarding, spent less than 5-10 minutes at the port and we were on the boat.

-Multiple swimming pools and we always seemed to be able to find a chair or two even on sea days. Cruising days best time is late afternoon and early evening to avoid crowds.

- Bar service was generally quick, lots of drinks to choose from

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 4D

This cabin is NOT for 4 people as we were told when we booked, it only sleeps two. Unfortunately we didn't realize the couch didn't pull out until the first night we went to sleep. Our children had to go sleep in their Grandmother's room every night. Room was ok for two people but showing some wear. The balcony has a bubble where the flooring is coming up.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We were fortunate that only one boat was leaving that day. The port is secure and they stop and check everyone's id at the gate and sometimes also search luggage etc.

Nassau

Walked to British Colonial for a beach/pool day. Pass includes water activities such as snorkeling, kayak, and SUP. Beach chairs and towels. Also yard chess and hamocks etc. Cost is about $70 but includes a $40 food and beverage credit. Drinks are good and strong.

Cozumel

Took a taxi to Mr. Sanchos, I'd recommend a reservation as they can get very busy. We called the day before and they still fit us in. All inclusive food, drinks, beach, pools. Has some shopping and even a small Pharmacy and Starbucks. We have done Mr. Sanchos a couple of times and always find it enjoyable. The water park is not included.

Roatan

Our favorite port so far. Booked a personal tour guide through Vic Boddens for $25 per person. They will take you anywhere you want to go and have great suggestions. We did the zip line, held a sloth, played with monkeys and birds. Also shopped and the driver took us to a lagoon type beach where we snorkeled around a reef, there were only about 4 other people there so it was great. Ate a great seafood platter at Gio's that the driver recommended.

Costa Maya

This is a large man made port. Unfortunately there is a large sea weed problem so beach excursions aren't enjoyable and it doesn't smell the best. Even the snorkel bay (small man made bay for kids to snorkel) and dolphin adventure were closed at the port. The pool is large and seems to have a spring break atmosphere. The shopping although abundant is overpriced.
