Very impressed with the ship, facilities and entertainment on-board. I was worried she would feel crowded and we would be herded ashore etc but not overly crowded apart from some busy times at the buffet even during a fully booked August cruise. Embarkation at Southampton was really smooth and so so much less stressful than an airport! Going ashore was great just walked off no problem apart from in Bergen where there was a shuttle bus to ferry us across the dockyard which was fine.
The balcony cabin was lovely and for us worth the extra cost, loved sitting out there watching the fjords go by with a drink (no problem bringing alcohol aboard at Southampton) and tea/coffee kettle etc in cabin. Booked an inside cabin for our teenage kids and although fine for them, I was glad of the extra space and natural daylight/sea breeze.
The onboard choir, lead by Adam Allinson was great fun and the practises were on sea days which worked really well.
Lovely! No noise from deck above and great views being so high up.
My home town. Great shopping centre, loads of places to eat, drink etc
Again just walked past, nice photo opportunity.
Just walked thorough, less crowded early on, we walked through about 8.30am and it was great, having by lunchtime when we returned.
See above. Bought tickets for the funicular on the day, went early and avoided crowds. Details in my review above. Great walk back down through the troll forest.
Not a lot in the village, stunning scenery but get out and see it. Bus trip to glacier details in my review above.
