We chose this cruise as part of a group of 11 friends& relatives traveling together. I had not been to Scotland or Ireland before so I was excited about those ports.
The ship is HUGE. This has both benefits and disadvantages. The embarkation process was great, but we arrived early. The food in the dining room and the buffet is average; I would give it a grade of B-. We enjoyed Alfredo's and the International Cafe. Our stateroom steward, Taslim, was the best ever! He got our room done so quickly it was unbelievable. We had a mixed experience with the Princess excursions. The guide for the trip to Windsor Castle was nice, but larger groups had to wait in line for over an hour before getting in. We enjoyed the tour of Kinsale and Charles Fort, but we ran out of time and could not walk around the fort. The tour of Cawdor Castle and Culloden Moor was very good. The disembarkation process did not go smoothly. They brought bags out about six at a time, so we waited over an hour to get on your bus for the CDG airport transfer. Then the driver of our Gold bus 2 did not seem to know her way around the airport, so she went around the loop twice before dropping us off. She spoke zero English. The delay on the transfer bus meant that we missed our plane flight home, so we had to shell out for a hotel and meals for an extra night.
Cabin was very roomy and had everything we needed. The view was fine.
The Kinsale and Charles Fort excursion was scenic. Not enough time at Charles Fort to walk around.
