I wanted to see more of the French countryside and this provided an opportunity to explore the southern portion. Excursions covered a nice variety of expierences from ancient Roman sites to modern wine making. Not as much of actual river cruising as others but it offered extra time to go out and explore different towns at your leisure. The dining room offerings were excellent and offered a nice variety to suit all tastes and the service offered by the the staff was superb as was to be expected. Several various local talents offered a nice diversion on many pleasant evenings in the lounge. I can not even begin to extoll the excellence of the expierence. From the beginning where they pick you up at the airport, through the entire voyage to the end, the professionalism exhibited by all members of the Viking staff was always on display. We are already planning our next trip.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

Small but adequate. Steward Petar provided excellent service. All necessities provided for.

Port Reviews

Arles

A town with a lot of Roman history and a taste of Van Gogh.

Avignon

Historic city with many sites readily accessable. The Pope's Palace Walk tour gives a great sampling of the city. We also took the Pont du Gard Aqueduct tour which gave a nice taste of the history of the area.
