Words cannot express the feeling on board the Symphony of the Seas. The vibe is something to be experienced. The ship is best described as a floating resort! Clean staterooms, friendly staff, and always something to do are only a few of the impressive things about Symphony of the Seas. The Royal Promenade is something that leaves you speechless every time, and contrary to what many reviewers mentioned, there is rarely any crowding, even on sea days.

The cabin was modern and clean. Beds were comfortable. Our stateroom attendant on deck 6, Eleasar, took great care of us!

Dining was very good too... While there were a few disappointments (some of the bread was hard, and don't have the rib of beef, which tastes like some weird canned thing), the overall food quality was very good. Food was fresh, and I cannot forget those doughnuts for breakfast!! El Loco Fresh was a memorable experience. Being on the pool deck, and complimentary, the Mexican offerings were great. We loved the Quesadillas and Tacos! Chops Grille had a great ambiance and served very good steaks, but the highlight was definitely our dinner at Wonderland! Give that a try for a truly whimsical experience not to be missed, and don't let the price put you off. Another thank you goes to the Hatter at Wonderland - ta-da! Service at all these places across the board was stellar. I will not forget Lelanie and Asep at the Main Dining Room though! Truly great, entertaining service!

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 7D

Simple cabin, but modern, spacious and clean. Bed, as well as sofa bed were very comfortable. Safe was included, as well as a fridge. One minor complaint is the balcony partitions, which rattled a little, and were slightly audible, even at night, when the ship was in motion. Another little thing was the lack of EU plugs (there was only one), and no UK plugs whatsoever. Though, there were two USB ports for charging phones and tablets, which made this a little less cumbersome.

Port Reviews

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)

Took the Carrara Marble Tour here! Very interesting, and Filippo was great, but the description provided by the cruise line was inaccurate, and cost was overpriced.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

Only stayed in the Port area, but besides the cathedral and castle, there was very little of interest. Tourist Bus trip, which I took alone, was quite boring, with very few places to hop off and explore.

Barcelona

Barcelona is Barcelona - beautiful with many sights, impossible to do in a day! Whatever you do, the city is bound to impress. We visited the Sagrada Familia and took a Funicular to the Montjuic castle! Watch out for pickpockets though - very common there.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Our embarkation port. Visited the city of Rome for a day prior to boarding, which was really nice, but not sure about the experience if this is a Port of Call.
