Missed a prior cruise. Seabourn was good enough to let me apply that payment to this cruise. The cruise was very relaxing and a nice way to see some towns that would have been hard to fly to or drive to.

Seabourn is very good about almost always providing you service exactly when you want it. You eat when you feel like it, not at an assigned time, check-in to the ship usually only takes a few minutes. The crew is amazing about remembering your name.

This was my first cruise with sea days, two of them out of a ten day cruise. Overall, my wife and I found it very relaxing although I missed the opportunity to go onshore every day.

Cabin Review

Cabin Ocean View

This was one of the relatively small number of suites w/o a balcony. It has a very large picture window which was crystal clear (perfectly cleaned) at the start of the cruise. Other than lacking a balcony it was the same size as the six clases of veranda suites. This is a pretty spacious suite with a nice bath, including tub and a nice shower, double sinks, a walk in closet, a sleeping area and curtained off living area with a desk a couple of chairs and a sofa.

This ship has two 3000 hp bow thrusters which are used for manuevering probably for 20 or 30 minutes when docking or gettng under way. They are quite noisy. So that means you will probaby be awoken 20 minutes before the anchor drops or the ship is tied off. If this bothers you, you will dislike this cabin. An ocean view cabin closer to the stern would be less noisy.

In terms of walking around the ship, all the public rooms are at the back except the bars on the 9th and 10th floors which are at the bow. So a room very close to the bow will get you more exercise.

Port Reviews

Montreal

Great city to walk around.

Quebec City

Again a great city to walk around

Gaspe

Again we walked around and enjoyed it.

Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island)

We got a $21 cab to the airport, rented a car for $45, and drove ourselves around.

Halifax

'we walked the seawall, and went to the museum on the seawall

Bar Harbor

Walked a few blocks to town square. Took free NPS bus to Arcadia Nat. Park., then came back for lunch in town--great lobster--and then walked sea wall.

Saguenay

We were able to rent a car right where we got off the ship. It was very reasonable, about $50 Canadian per day. You may need to reserve in advance.
