We have been on more than 50 cruises, so we tend to choose a cruise because of the ship rather than the itinerary. For this cruise we choose the Carnival Vista, which until the Horizon, was their newest ship.

We left from the Port of Miami. Since we are Platinum members – soon to be Diamond – we have VIP embarkation privileges and our cabin is always ready as soon as we get on the ship. For this cruise, we choose an inside cabin. It was a spa cabin, so we had free access to the thermal suite in the Cloud Nine Spa. The thermal suite has a therapy pool, several therapy rooms and heated ceramic loungers.

We love the IMAX Theater on the ship. There is a small fee, but it is less than we pay for an IMAX ticket at home. We have been on the Vista twice and went to the IMAX Theater three times on each cruise and it was never crowded.

Cabin Review

Cloud 9 Spa Interior

We choose an inside cabin because I wanted access to the Thermal Suite in the Cloud Nine Spa without paying for a spa balcony or spa suite. We spend so little time in the cabin, that inside cabins work out fine for us.
