We have traveled with Celebrity, Cunard, P & O and Princess and till now Princess was our clear favorite, but our experience over the past 3 weeks has left that favoritism in tatters!
There were many negatives on this ship but I will start with some positives. The staff were all very helpful, polite and generally good at their jobs.
The ship itself was extraordinarily stable with almost NO rocking and rolling over the entire 22 days even though we traveled from Asia to Australia.
The cabin was OK... which is not as good as you would expect from a fairly new ship, however the howling noise when the door was open was simply AWFUL!
Future passengers in this cabin owe me a thank you for fixing that problem after 18 days however and it is one hassle no one else should ever have.
Not a bad city, but it was a Sunday morning when we arrived and not much was open. However as the time went by we found a nice little strip of shops and they have some really interesting products for sale at great prices!
An interesting city full of delightful good humored people. Busy markets and a lot to see and do.
We actually went to Ba Ria instead of HCM city because it would have meant a 90 minute drive each way to the port or Phu May and a cost of hundreds of dollars. Ba Ria was a lovely place to see with some interesting shops and street vendors and some great bartering.
Caught an Uber from the ship side to Wynnum North and a train to the city and had a lovely day walking around Queen Street Mall and nearby. Then back the same way and had a whole day out for around $60 without having to queue for a coach or be ready at a certain time!
